REVIEW! Lorac Mega Pro Palette. AND is it worth the hype & money??

Monday, April 13, 2015

Whats up guys! I hope you are all well.

I thought I would create and do a review on the Lorac Mega Pro Palette. This palette was a limited edition by Lorac, and ultimately was a bigger version of the other Lorac Pro Palette's, plus some brand new extra shades added. This palette is packed with 32 shades - 16 shimmer and 16 matte, which contains ALL the colours you need to create every look. It includes black, white, neutral and bright shades!

This palette is my most-used, and I can create so many diverse looks. A simple cut crease, a defined bright eye, or a neutral / dark smokey eye. I love the range of shades and I love that they are extremely pigmented, so you can apply them wet or dry. The colours have a fantastic payoff, and they last all day/night. HOWEVER; I was quite surprised with how much fallout there was. The shadows are quite creamy, so it should stick to the lid and not fall out.. right?? WRONG, I do get quite a lot of fall out (thats were eye shadow shields come in) with the colours, but once you apply and clean up, it stays for the duration that you have it on for- it doesn't fall out once you finish, only during the applying stage. Finally, all of the shadows are very creamy, mostly with a satin finish, and they are all easy to blend and pack on to the eyes. Lorac did well with this one!

Next, is the palette worth the money?? Is it worth the hype??
There was a big hype when the Mega Pro Palette first came out, and everyone was buying them and so they sold out extremely quick! As I mentioned, there is a large range of shades and a mix of mattes and shimmers with high pigmentation, and its buttery and easy to blend. If you're similar to me and just buy whatever eyeshadow palette looks amazing, then I would recommend!! (haha).
Seriously though...
If you tend to stick to more neutral shades (browns, oranges, golds, earth tones), then I would get something a little cheaper, that contains just neutral colours- perhaps Lorac Unzipped Palette, or The Balm Nude 'Tude/ Nude Dude.
However, if you do like experimenting with different shades, and you switch it up now and then with different tones and eye looks, then I personally believe you should try your best to get your hands on one! I know there are cheaper similar palette's out there, but this palette really impressed me, especially with how pigmented the colours are, and the duration that they stay so intense with no fading!!
It's quite difficult to find a Mega Pro Palette to purchase now that majority is out of stock, and other people were first in best dressed! Although, recently I saw that there is a few on eBay if you're looking for one! They are quite expensive- but its 32 shadows you're paying for, that are high quality, shimmer and matte!!

Anyway, that is the end of this blogpost for now!

Hope everyone enjoyed reading! leave me anything in the comments section if you have any questions :)

Bye for now!! <3
