Hello again everyone! I am back with another blogpost review. 

This time, on the much talked about- Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks. I just recently received 4 in the post- Fire Engine, 1995, Rodeo Drive and Berry Smoothie. These are the first four that I have owned, so it's a first impression for me!

All the shades that I received have a satin finish. None are glossier or more matte than the other. In the past, I have only had matte nudes (I LOVE nude lipsticks, especially dark burgandy tones), so it was interesting to try a satin finish. My first impression of the formula, was quite wet and soft. It applies on as if you're applying a Chapstick - very moisterising! I was surprised at this, as I thought it would apply dry, or like other lipsticks that aren't quite as moisterising. I was impressed with the formula, and I was even more impressed at how long the lipstick stayed on all day! I did a first impression test of 6hrs+. I would apply in the morning- go to uni, have lunch, go back to uni, then come home. During this time, I was busy, in the sun, in the aircon and also eating- AND the lipstick stayed put! It dries as almost a lip stain on my lips. It stains them, and doesn't bleed- so it lasts all day! However in saying that, it wasn't even hard to remove! You just wipe it off with a makeup wipe, and it comes straight off. This was new to me- because other lipsticks I have owned in the past, made my lips dry through the day, came off when I ate, or was extremely hard to remove at the end of the day- even with cleanser and a makeup wipe!

For the price ($39 for a four pack!!) it's such a good buy if you like satin finishes. I have now found that some drugstore brands are more expensive, and are bad quality compared to the Gerard Cosmetic lipsticks. I'm very impressed with the formula and the wear of the shades, AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE PACKAGING! So cute, like gold bullets, and they look very slick... I cannot wait to purchase more in all different colours!! If you're looking for cheap, good quality lipsticks, I would recommend firstly following Gerard Cosmetics on Instagram, as they advertise sale and special codes ALL the time for money off etc, then enter their website and purchase them. They have a large variety, and you will not be let down!
