Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to write a mini review blog post on the (fairly) new Maybelline 'The Nudes' palette. Hope you enjoy! Remember to leave any questions down below, and be sure to follow this blog and my instagram Maquillage Est Belle, to keep updated!
So, I recently purchased the palette within the past week (at supermarkets and pharmacies/drugstores valued at approximately $15.00), and have tried neutral eye looks on myself, and also a couple of other people. I think the 12 range of colours are gorgeous! Its a neutral girls dream, and there are various shimmering shades, matte shades and satin shades including sandy, dark, neutral beige and bronze colours. They are very blendable and apply beautifully... HOWEVER, they could be a lot more pigmented. I had to apply a generous amount of product in order to obtain the amount of colour that I was satisfied with (as you will see in the swatches provided), but when finished, the eye creations looked stunning! Remember, it is a drugstore product, so it will be different to higher end brands, and also this is only my opinion and review, others may have different things to say about it!
I think for a fraction of the price of other products such as Urban Decay Naked palettes, it is worth it if you don't mind spending the extra time to add product and blend to your desire. I am keen to try the Maybelline 'The Blushed Nudes' palette, and see how it compares to higher-end brands such as the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay.
