Too Faced Primed and Poreless OIL FREE primer REVIEW

Tuesday, July 21, 2015

Hi again guys!

Sorry for the delay in blogposts recently, I've been super busy, but I am attempting to get more blogposts up from now on whilst holidays are very much in action!!

Today I am bringing you a review on the Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer. As some of you who follow me on instagram may know, I posted a picture of this product when I first purchased it (approximately 1 week ago), and have been using it every day since to test and try it out to give it a review!

I purchased this product from Mecca Maxima for $39AUD. To me, if I am paying that much for a primer, then I am hoping it does a great job!! The primer aims to provide matte skin smoothing through an oil free product, to potentially blur out pores and give a soft base to start your makeup routine. The texture is a soft gel-like formula, and it dries and disappears very quickly, so I advise that you apply the product straight onto your face and rub it in as you go, rather than applying it on your fingertips, warming it up by rubbing, then applying it to your face. As it is a matte formula, this is normal.

The first day I used the product, I applied the primer on one side of the face, and left the other side with no primer. I then continued on with my usual makeup routine, and this was at approximately 7:30am. I then checked my face at midday, and the foundation was sitting quite normal on both sides of my face. However, I then checked my face again at approximately 3:00pm and I noticed quite a large difference. The foundation that was applied on the primer side of my face was looking similar to how it looked at midday, however the foundation on the other side of the face was looking warn, bits had rubbed off and it just wasn't looking as fresh as the authorised. So far so good!

From that day on, I have used this primer everyday and it keeps my face relatively matte (I have combination skin) in the T-zone area, and my foundation and blush/bronzer stick to it. By the end of each day, my face is still looking good, and if it is looking a bit shiny, I can just powder and touch up where I need.

I am very impressed with this primer, and I think the oil free version is a better way to go, if you're combination or oily. I will continue to use this product and I will perhaps re-purchase! Worth the money in my opinion.

Thanks for reading guys, hope you learned something.

xoxo
