I thought that it may be useful for some of you to know my favourite tips and tricks about makeup! Or maybe its not helpful? I DONT KNOW! Haha, let me know in the comments!
I use these five tricks every day to help me just that little bit extra when applying my makeup or fixing mistakes etc. So keep reading!....
☆ When you apply mascara and accidentally touch your face or eye with the mascara wand... LEAVE IT THERE! At least for a little while.... until the mascara dries! Once it has dried on the face, it becomes stiff and sort of flaky (gross!). Then get a cotton tip and just dab and swipe at the mascara lightly.. it'll magically disappear!
☆ When applying foundation with a brush or beauty blender, be sure to start from the outside of the cheeks and work your way DOWN! If you were to blend the product in all different directions in all different areas of the face, the tools would eventually drag product around and cake extra product on, which makes pores more visible!
☆ Same thing goes with concealer, when applying, be sure to swipe the product DOWN with the brush or beauty blender, as you want to hide pores, and not accentuate them! Swiping down will allow the product to go over the pores.
☆ Adding concealer under and above the brows after brushing through the hair with a spoolie or brow brush will make them appear more sharp and in-shape! It also cleans up any seen or unseen imperfections/mistakes from product. It also helps to use a lighter concealer than your skin, and apply the product with a straight-edge or angled brush to ensure precision is perfect for those brows!
And lastly....
☆ BLEND BLEND BLEND!! Blend everything that you use on your face! Eyeshadow, foundation, contour, everything! Believe me, it makes the world of difference, and you can definitely tell when someone has blended for a long time. Two important places you should blend is crease shadows, especially transition shades! Soft colours look a lot better than sharp edges with all different colours scattered everywhere. Also, you can tell when someone hasn't blended their foundation into their hair line, their ears and down their neck. Be sure to go through your hair line with your foundation brush, onto your ears, and all the way down your neck from your face!
These tricks are simple, but when following them on a day-to-day basis it makes a big difference to how your makeup looks and how you apply your makeup!! :)
